"haven't you all got homes to go to?"

So, that's it. time to have your glasses collected and have the bar staff give you dirty looks...filming is now officially over for 'Into the Fall'. Yesterday Veran (backside 50-50 over and down), Gonz (mayday and switch frontside nosegrind revert), Russ (nosestall shove-it) and Steve (switch backside nosegrind) went for a day trip up to suffolk to capture the very last footage and generally goof around and have fun skateboarding in the sunshine. We warmed up at Sudbury park before going street skating and filmed these little bits and pieces for the fun of it. Editing is now heavily in progress and we now have less than 3 weeks to go until the premiere...busy busy busy!

Editing in Progress, Premiere Sorted!

Sorry we have been a bit quiet recently when it comes to updates. it's not due to us being lazy, quite the opposite. In recent days there have been some heated last minute filming missions as people have been trying to get a few last tricks in to the video. The video itself is deep in to the editing phase with Gonz and Russ working long hours putting together the footage, artwork and music. On top of all that we've sorted out the premiere night too, see the flyer to the right for all the details. So as you can see...busy bees for sure. We all hope you can make it up/down to Colchester for the premiere next month, it should be a great night!

Ipswich Public and Private

russ and dave

Yesterday three cars meet up in Ipswich from three different corners of Essex. After a brief warm up at the skatepark we hit up some new and old public and private street spots. Inbetween rudderless padestrians, board stealing harbours, threatening kids, pisstakes, footballs and changing traffic lights a whole bunch of skateboarding, filming, photography and laughter went down, fhe fruits of which will apprear at the fast approaching premiere of 'Into the Fall', more details about that soon...

In contrast to the digital VX2000 we've also been collecting images for 'Into the Fall' using film photography in an effort to capture both the last twelve month's changing seasons and natural environments and our own silly faces. This camera's unusual properties in particular will help to set the tone...

Dave's Hi-8 Archive, 'Broken Boards'

(27.3MB, quicktime)

Dave and Gonz recently brought out the now outmoded and outdated Hi-8 video cameras and tapes to try and capture all of Dave's footage he shot between 2001 and 2003 in Colchester. There's loads of classic Colchester spots in there and loads of Colchester faces (including a very young Verski). Gonz editied it up with 'We Should Have Never Lived Like We Were Skyscrapers' by Chin Up Chin Up...have fun watching it...not long now until 'Into the Fall'...

Steve Turns to the Darkside

(1.2MB, iPod ready quicktime)

Evidence arrived at monster network towers confirming the circulating rumours that Steve Bailey has, we're very sad to report, turned to the Darkside and is now a professional binliner/8-wheeled gay/fruitboot/rollergoose/bauer-flower...in short, he now soul grinds. We've attached the proof (this was shot before he started to wear orange ragga dungarees, quadruple XL white wifebeater vest and bleached dreads under a helmet). We've subsequently burnt all his 'Into the Fall' footage and he'll have a new part filmed soon consisting of sliding down ramps crosslegged, sitting on coping asking 'geez, can i go, nice one, sorted', two handed handplants with bicycle legs and as previewed in this clip, casual clicks.

P.S. Not really.

Under the A Road

Last thursday (the 27th) a bunch of us went to skate these large banks out in the finally re-awakening from winter sleep essex countryside. Wiggy, Veran, Russ, Gonz and Dave all made the short country treck to the banks under the bridge, what a spot! The place consists of two huge banks either side of the river connected with stepping stones. The banks got skated, griptape got dusty and the river almost claimed a board or two. it was super fun! Return trip soon for sure...
